Our centre member Ms. Luo Sha attended the 6th International Symposium on Second Language Acquisition in China held in Hangzhou in October 2014, and was invited to give a presentation. Under the framework of the activity theory, her study took the perspective of social culture and emphasized the importance of promoting interaction between teachers and students via videos, practice online and interaction forum in addition to classroom activities in order to achieve better results in L2 acquisition.
