Ms. Luo Sha attended the 6th annual meeting of Chinese Educational Linguistics Research Association in Qingdao in April 2015, and presented her work on “Exploring independent learning of foreign languages in the context of MOOC”.
Under the framework of the independent learning theory, her research constructed a model of independent learning of foreign languages featuring independent development, topic guiding, and multi-role interaction in the context of MOOC. This model emphasizes cultivating independent learning ability with a focus on learning strategy, the independent learning process of exploration and innovation, and learning conditions of multi-role interaction. This model has been established and tested in the practice of carrying out “MOOC in college English reading”, and yielded good results.
