A warm welcome to Dr. Zheng Xiaobei who just became a full-time research member of RCLC! Dr. Zheng graduated from the Linguistics Department of University College London with her PhD study supervised by Dr. Richard Breheny. Her research focuses on psycholinguistics, cognitive linguistics and experimental pragmatics, using eye tracking and behavioral experiments to examine children’s employment of social information in the process of lexical acquisition as well as in adult-child verbal communication. She has rich experience in taking part in important research projects funded by the National Science Foundation of China (NSFC) and the National Institutes of Health (NIH) of the US. Her joining in the RCLC will broaden the research directions of the Centre and promote research activities with overseas institutions.
