A warm welcome to the three new colleagues in RCLC! Dr. Deng Xiangjun joined us as a full-time researcher and assistant professor. Dr. Zhang Jian and Dr. Huang Man joined us as affiliated researchers.

Dr. Deng Xiangjun got her PhD from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and worked there as an adjunct assistant professor. Her research interests include child language acquisition, Chinese syntax and semantics, corpus linguistics, comparative linguistics and psycholinguistics. She has published several articles on journals such as Linguistics which are indexed by SSCI and A&HCI.

Zhang Jian, PhD in neural biology, is currently professor at the School of Medicine in Shenzhen University. He has done a lot of research on cognitive disorders. His recent research interest expands to include observing the brain activities in the process of speech through electro-biological methods. He has published dozens of articles in influential journals at home and abroad, and served as principal and/or collaborative investigator in around 10 national, provincial or municipal science foundation projects.

Dr. Huang Man is an associate professor at the School of Foreign Languages in Shenzhen University. She got her PhD from Central China Normal University. She was awarded the title of ‘Excellent Young Scholar at Shenzhen University’. Her research interests include cognitive linguistics, ecological linguistics, and lexicology. She served as the principal investigator of several important research projects including a young scholar project of humanities and social sciences funded by the Ministry of Education and an educational research project of Guangdong province. She has published several high-quality papers on journals indexed by A&HCI and CSSCI.
