  Research Interests

I am an assistant professor at the School of Foreign Languages in Shenzhen University. I got my PhD from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and worked there as an adjunct assistant professor (2014-2016). My research interests include child language acquisition, Chinese syntax and semantics, corpus linguistics, comparative linguistics and psycholinguistics. My PhD dissertation is entitled “Space, Events, and Language Acquisition in Mandarin”. Recently I published a multimedia longitudinal child Mandarin Corpus, the Tong corpus, on Child Language Data Exchange System (CHILDES) in collaboration with Prof. Virginia Yip at the Department of Linguistics and Modern Languages, Chinese University of Hong Kong. I published an article on "The linguistic encoding of space in child Mandarin: A corpus-based study" on Linguistics in 2015. Three more will appear in an influential international journal indexed by SSCI and A&HCI.
