摘要:
Quantitative x-ray imaging is an active area of academic research, industrial development and clinical applications. In this presentation, the basic principle of the clinical x-ray imaging will be introduced. The newly developed in-line phase sensitive x-ray imaging techniques will be presented. The innovative algorithms for phase retrieval, advanced techniques for quantitative visualization, as well as the applications in cancer diagnosis will be discussed.

Dr. Hong Liu is currently the Charles and Jean Smith Chair in Biomedical Engineering, George Lynn Cross Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering, adjunct Professor of Medicine, and the Director of Advanced Medical Imaging Center and Core Facility at the University of Oklahoma. He is a fellow of the American Institute of Medical and Biological Engineering (AIMBE), and a fellow of the International Society for Optical Engineering (SPIE). He has been serving as the Editor-in-Chief and Advisory Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of X-ray Science and Technology since 2002.
Dr. Liu is a leading researcher in Medical Imaging. His current research projects include phase sensitive x-ray imaging for breast cancer screening/diagnosis; and optical and fluorescent imaging techniques for clinical genetic cancer diagnosis. He has published more than 240 scientific papers, book chapters, and patents. Dr. Liu had his college education at Beijing Polytechnic University; received his MS degree from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, and his Ph.D. degree in Biomedical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Massachusetts. He was on faculty at the University of Virginia and Johns Hopkins University before he joined the faculty of the University of Oklahoma.
