报告人简介

Qiongyue (Yvonne) Kang joined the Optoelectronic Research Centre (ORC) at the University of Southampton in September 2011 and completed her PhD in September 2015. She currently is a research fellow (awardee of the EPSRC Doctoral Prize Fellowship) in the Advanced fiber technologies group. She is working on the next generation erbium doped fiber amplifiers for space division multiplexed systems. She is a frequent presenter on major international optical fiber communication conferences, such as OFC and ECOC. She has authored and co-authored 23 journal papers and conference proceedings. She also served as a frequent reviewer of journals such as Optics Express, Photonics Technology Letters.

She completed her BEng electronic engineering with a first-class honors in the School of Electrical Electronics and Computer Engineering at the University of Birmingham and Huazhong University of Science and Technology in June, 2011.
