摘要:In this talk, the results on spectral properties of biological macromolecules (DNA, RNA, proteins) and their low-molecular model compounds will be presented and discussed. The investigation involved steady-state, time-resolved and polarization studies of optical absorption, fluorescence, phosphorescence of biomolecules at ambient and low temperatures and allowed us to determine the positions of singlet and triplet electronic energy levels in macromolecules of DNA, RNA and Human Serum Albumin (HSA). The existence of a migration of singlet and triplet excitations in DNA and RNA macromolecules was shown and nature of traps for the migrating excitations was determined. The results on the electronic excitation energy transfer (EEET) in DNA, RNA and HSA macromolecules will be presented and the related inherent functional properties of biological systems will be deliberated, including phenomenon of DNA and RNA self-protection
